– Sold OutBack in the day, the US supply of APA hops went up in smoke, literally. So rather than inciting a riot, Tatara turned to some home grown, New Zealand cones as a temporary fix.
This unwittingly resulted in the evolution of their Aotearoa Pale Ale. One to rival its American counterpart. With citrus flavours and full hop finish, the result was Kapai.
Embracing the 100% kiwiness of their Aotearoa Pale Ale, they recently renamed this brew KAPAI, encapsulating the true character of the beer.
