Colour/appearance: pours a deep amber colour with a foamy white head.
Aroma: bright fruity hop aroma, with notes of citrus.
Flavour: there’s a bitter grapefruit tang to the fore, set against a tropical fruit flavours, particularly passion fruit . The dark toffee malt is well balanced against pungent Australian hops.
Aftertaste: dry and bitter in the finish.
Food pairings: this is one to have with your pork dinner, especially if it’s been cooked on the barbecue. The bitterness of the beer contrasts the sweetness in the pork, whether it’s sausages, chops or a slow-cooked pulled pork shoulder, while the hoppy citrus flavours cut through any fat.
