Stouts and porters typically are beers that have been brewed with roasted malt, giving them their emblematic dark colour and aroma of coffee or chocolate.
These dark beers have been around for centuries, but they’re going very strong! And that is mostly thanks to brewers working on more and more delicious and innovative beers.
Stouts can be dry, in the style of Irish stouts, but they can also be very sweet and indulgent like milk stouts with their added lactose, or with the addition of different ingredients and flavours like vanilla, chocolate, caramel, peanut butter, and more! Breakfast stouts are brewed with oats, whilst imperial stouts have a much higher alcohol content.
Don’t listen to what people say – we think stouts are perfect for all seasons!
