Their 9 carat base of extra pale, jumbo oats, flaked and malted wheat plus a generous sprinkling of lactose is so satisfyingly soft in To Live Is To Fly.

A steady, clean fermentation has given some fruity ester production which, coupled with Citra, Taiheke and Eclipse, has really upped the juice factor.

Expect tropical waves of Juicy Fruit gum, guava, peach and mango with a sweet, pillowy, warming finish that leaves a lingering, sweet marmalade finish.

Back in the day, the US supply of APA hops went up in smoke, literally. So rather than inciting a riot, Tatara turned to some home grown, New Zealand cones as a temporary fix.

This unwittingly resulted in the evolution of their Aotearoa Pale Ale. One to rival its American counterpart. With citrus flavours and full hop finish, the result was Kapai.

Embracing the 100% kiwiness of their Aotearoa Pale Ale, they recently renamed this brew KAPAI, encapsulating the true character of the beer.

Taste: Citrus, grapefruit and herb flavours with a fresh hop finish.

Aroma: Tropical fruits and orange marmalade.

Look: Golden amber to copper.

Hops: Motueka, Pacific Jade, NZ Cascade, Nelson Sauvin

Centennial hops at 6.5g/L in the whirlpool and 20g/L dry hop provides a in your face lime and lemon citrus and savoury dankness. They then use a old English yeast strain that provides a thick, juicy body and some sweetness.

This is a dry hopped Table Beer sitting at 2.7% ABV in a 440ml can. A body comprising of lots of grain and malt with some oats chucked in for good measure provides a surprising strength of body flavour and a beer with plenty of mouthfeel.

Citra and Lemondrop is added to the boil to bring a soft lemon citrus flavour. With  13g/L of citra leads to lots mango and gooseberry aroma  and Nelson Sauvin from new Zealand is used to dry hop the beer, this gives some wine like characteristics.
