Bavaria’s Erdinger brewery has produced yet another classically beautiful German wheat ale with its Kristall weissbier. Whilst brewed much like other wheat beers, this speciality wheat beer is different in that it goes through a long “fine filtration” process that renders the beer sparkling clear.
Sparkling clear with an effervescent carbonation, the Kristall produces a huge white foamy head when poured. Notes of fruit are complemented by hints of wheat, earth and maybe even apples. Smooth and dry with a tingly carbonation, this subtly-flavoured beer is perfectly refreshing.
