Lewes, East Sussex, UK
Beak, originally conceived as a nomadic project, have now anchored in Lewes, East Sussex, where they have a taproom and food canteen. They are brewing delicious, unfiltered beer, from IPAs to Pilsners and porters. And their gorgeous minimalistic design created by Jay Cover makes them easy to spot!
Strangers is a real juicy 5% IPA brewed with London Fog yeast, Mosaic, Sabro and Idaho-7 hops, along with oats, dextrin, CaraGold and Maris Otter.
It's pithy, chewy, dank and resinous in all the right places with big bouncy flavours of pineapple, white grape, lemongrass and grapefruit – with a faint whiff of strawberries and cream.
Currently Beak Brewery are nomad brewing in Firle, Sussex.
This new 5.5% pale ale is the result of a year-long journey investigating how best to make lower ABV beers sing.
Beak are really happy with the results.
Brewed with oats, wheat, London Fog yeast and an abundance of Idaho-7, Galaxy and Citra, it’s hazy, pillowy-soft and teeming with ripe, unctuous flavours of peach, passionfruit, mango, pine sap and highly emotional lovelorn lyrics.
