The big boss is back.
If Galaxy Mosaic IPA was the beer that set off some rumbles for Polly's, then Rosa was the beer that smashed through the glass ceiling and planted them firmly on the map; gaining near-universal praise from drinkers and industry insiders when they first brewed it nearly two years ago for their UK-wide Augment launch.
For all the incredible places our Augment range has branched off into since 2019, Polly's love coming back to what they feel is the benchmark for their DIPAs, and the brewers certainly get giddy with excitement when they know their headline beer is back on the brew plans.
Featuring a five-hop mega line up of Simcoe, Galaxy, Mosaic, Citra, and Ekuanot, this beer is sticky, juicy, piney and dank - 100% Polly's.
Welcome back, Rosa.

They're big at the moment on nostalgia, up there at Polly's HQ - reminiscing about some of their greatest hits from 2020, and Slacks is the next on the list that they felt deserved a revisit.
A big IPA all about the juice; Slacks is a conscious effort on their part to aim for a 6% beer, but to be able to fill it with all the flavour intensity and body of one of our stronger IPAs.
Hopped to the nines with 30kg of Enigma and Mosaic to bring all those stone fruit, papaya, and mango notes right up to the fore, Slacks is named for an in-joke from the 2019 Polly's Christmas party, where Arron - ever the fashionista - turned up in some let's say, questionable slim fitting trousers (and they've never let him live it down since).
Thankfully there is nothing questionable about this straight up murky juicebomb of a beer.
Delicious.

This beer has unfortunately passed its Best Before Date. It doesn't mean that it's undrinkable! It just means that it may not quite taste as the brewer intended it to.
Once beer has been made, it starts to "condition". Now this is welcomed in traditional ales as it allows some of the bitterness created by the hops to mellow.
In craft brewing, hops are generally used to give floral, fruity aromas instead of bitters. When craft beers age, the floral notes tend to soften over time and so this style of beer is ideally drank fresh.
We have tested a beer from this batch and it is good, but as it has passed its Best Before Date, we are offering it to you at a massively reduced discount. Just 1/2 its normal price. When they are gone they are gone, so if you want to grab a great beer at a great price, this is it!

LHG set themselves a challenge with this one, attempting to achieve flavour characteristics of grapefruit without relying on huge additions of the fruit itself, and looked at all aspects of the process with this in mind.
They went with a combination of a balanced water profile and pilsner in the malt bill to enhance drinkability, and targeted a hop combination that enhances the zesty citrus aromas and punchy flavours found in grapefruit itself.

It feels like an eternity since Polly's last brewed one of their big hitting DDH Pale Ales.
With the festive season having come and gone, and Birthday Beers now a thing of the past, they've had a yearning for what they think is the most underrated branch of their output - taking all that flavour intensity of their big hitting IPAs and DIPAs, but reeling it back to a relatively sessionable strength.
In Violet is Polly's brew team letting loose and doing what they do best; fully employing their now-signature pyramid dry-hopping technique, this time letting new school classic Mosaic go big with all its super juicy tropical notes, before smaller additions of Amarillo and Chinook do the job of keeping everything in check with grassy pine notes.
Juicy, smashable, and totally sessionable.

If 2019 was all about polishing the edges Polly's established in their first year, and 2020 was about cementing where they thought their pale and hoppy beers should be in terms of quality and technique, then 2021 - their fourth year as an active brewery - is where they are starting to branch out from their usual comfort zone a little more and brew more styles that help them grow and learn as a team.
Plant Sugar treads familiar territory, but amplifies it up to the max for their biggest sour beer to date.
The brew plans for this beer simply read "Rhubarb & Quince = LOADS", and boy did they take that one seriously.
These awesome fruits meld together for a wonderful jammy tartness, before mellowing back around with a kick of sea salt to keep things interesting.

The underrated dark horse of Polly's original Augment trio is back once again!
Patternist has gained and continues to carry its own massive cult following thanks to it's no frills El Dorado and Simcoe hop bill, albeit hopped up to the absolute nines, and its ornate tiling artwork garnering amazing feedback.
Much like its siblings, Spur and Rosa, they've scaled this beer all the way up to a TIPA and all the way back to a crushable pale ale, but nothing beats the original sometimes.
A favourite among the staff at Polly's, and in the brew team's opinion, the best version to date, expect all kinds of mango, pineapple, jelly tots (no, really) with just a hint of resinous pine bursting from this incredible IPA.

Spur is a massive in-house favourite at Polly's with their raven-haired head of sales Arron routinely naming it as his favourite beer that they produce, and the proof is in the pudding - the hop bill of Azacca, Citra and Simcoe bounces with Um-Bongo levels of tropical flavour, featuring a full on fruit salad of papaya, peach, tangerine and mango on both the nose and flavour.
The scrappy medium child of the original Augment trio - a nightmare to can on its first go round in 2019 on the back of how highly hopped it was - Polly's have tamed this awesome beast and treated it to the 2021 treatment it truly deserves.
Slathered with their bespoke in-house LA3 yeast culture for massive hop suspension, this is a beer that is 100% hazy, dank, and juicy.
