Vibrant Forest - Barbarella

Vibrant Forest - Barbarella

It's Christmas Day and we've made the trip down to see the fam in Plymouth, so I brought a selection of beers to tide me over. The first one for the afternoon had vibrant pink and blue colouring slapped over the can with a bright pink sticker giving some clear information about the history of this rhubarb IPA.

First smell was a very light and soft fruit with a faint tart ending. The following swig had a bit of a hoppy hit that ended fast before going into a creamy finish. There was definitely a nice lot of punch to the initial hops, but the rhubarb flavour took over soon after giving a steady and definitely smooth sip. This is a drink you could keep enjoying as the night goes on without being too intense. A nice drink that is you won't be disappointed in trying out.

As always, I hope you enjoyed my personal review, but why not come into Beercraft of Bath and try it for yourself!...🍺🤓 Han

The punchyness is there with that lactose mouthfeel that coats the tongue really nicely, which gives a smooth delivery of those beautifully balanced ingredients.

First smell is a solid stout one of coffee with a sweet background. The following swig delivers that beautiful sweetness that is certainly reminiscent of smooth syrup over pancakes, before that coffee taste comes in. Have to say that the more I hit it back, the more I liked it, as the balance of coffee and sugary syrup came into play.

First smell just tells you I'm an IPA with full fruity flavours bulking under the snout. The following swig just gives you an electric shock of powerful hops that are a real eye opener, then straight behind is that thick mouthfeel giving you tropical flavour. Each swig after packs a punch, but a more subtle peachy tone starts coming through to end the taste.
