Polly's Brew Co - Like A Ghost

Polly's Brew Co - Like A Ghost

*Slight delayed review* Second beer of the Christmas Day reverie was this stout. Needed a bit of a smooth drink after gorging on food and spirits all day before getting ready for some delectable cheeses and games with the fam in the evening.

Classic Polly's drip symbol on a black and grey design gned background....but the symbol still pulls you in to be fair.

First smell off the bat is quite a sweet one above that coffee background with a smooth tone. The swig really does get things going though as that biscuit/cakey flavour jumps into the mouth in a think and full way. Hard to say it hit it on the battenberg head, and the family weren't overly keen on it as a whole, but I thought it had a richness too it that was pretty enjoyable. Definitely came through as a stout with that something different on offer, I d have it again, but not quite a top drawer one.

As always, I hope you enjoyed my personal review, but why not come into BeerCraft of Bath and try it for yourself!...🍺🤓 Han

First smell is a nice malty chocolatey one with just a hint of coffee behind. Then the taste came in with a slightly more coffee hint, but definitely a full mouthfeel that clearly contained quality ingredients.

As weird as it sounds Cassiopeia is my favourite constellation, so this cracking can showing a starry night with beer related constellations over a vista scene that really appealed... First smell is a thick one that seems to be bubbling in the can with a coffee flavour edging out. The following swig really gives you that caramel hit on a rush of creamy boozy flavour that is just packed to the rafters.

Very vibrant smell to open the can, nice and refreshing! The next taste offers a nice floral hoppy hit that really glided off the tongue nicely. Each swig after was a light and breezy fruity flavour that didn't subside and kept that upbeat experience. A surprise one to be honest, loads of energy and we'll balanced with flavour and hops.
