Northern Monk - Patrons Project 18.03 // Sandy Kerr // North Sea Sessions // TDH Pale Ale
*Delayed post, my grovelling apologies* Day that seemed long about an hour into it, but managed to get though it and home for a nice beer. Bit of good news for the missus made the day pretty damn good, even enough to makeup for another delay on good'ol GWR trains... The can is all about the fantastic surf pic by @lasurfpics of Sandy Kerr (@sandytynemouth) as port of the 'North Sea Sessions 3' range.
First taste is a vibrant one with a hint of NE like hops to get you excited with a malty finish. Following swig is full of a hoppy rush that's thick and zesty with more of a punch than I first expected. There's a definite citrusy buzz with each kickback accompanying an almost tropical IPA tickle at the back. One more surprise is a well balanced maltyness that just finishes this well-rounded beer off in a tidy way. Cracking Pale Ale.
As always, I hope you enjoyed my personal review, but why not come into @beercraftbath and try it for yourself!...🍺🤓 Han
