Northern Monk - Patrons Project 16.03 // Haze Outdoors // Ben Nevis // Imperial Stout

Still feeling rough from the man flu, but had a solid day of hard work in Bath followed by a delicious Thai Thursday meal with the Mrs.

The can has a really good photo of four people gathered on Ben Nevis looking like their conspiring to form a potentially cracking stout... First smell is a deliciously thick chocolate and coffee one, gets the tastebuds going. The following swig gives more of the same taking you straight to flavour country! That rich chocolate taste then comes straight in with a malty and coffee hit at the end. Have to say I didn't get any of the blueberry rush which may mean the balance was off slightly, although there's a slight sweetness which is that honey note. Basically, a fantastic stout that should be grabbed while you can!

As always, I hope you enjoyed my personal review, but why not come into Beercraft of Bath and try it for yourself!...🍺🤓 Han

First smell is a nice malty chocolatey one with just a hint of coffee behind. Then the taste came in with a slightly more coffee hint, but definitely a full mouthfeel that clearly contained quality ingredients.

As weird as it sounds Cassiopeia is my favourite constellation, so this cracking can showing a starry night with beer related constellations over a vista scene that really appealed... First smell is a thick one that seems to be bubbling in the can with a coffee flavour edging out. The following swig really gives you that caramel hit on a rush of creamy boozy flavour that is just packed to the rafters.

Very vibrant smell to open the can, nice and refreshing! The next taste offers a nice floral hoppy hit that really glided off the tongue nicely. Each swig after was a light and breezy fruity flavour that didn't subside and kept that upbeat experience. A surprise one to be honest, loads of energy and we'll balanced with flavour and hops.
