Mad Squirrel Brewery - Shrub Life

Mad Squirrel Brewery - Shrub Life

Had a bit of a lie in after needing the extra z's, so a busy day at work that I managed to get on top of. Also, managed to battle through the Christmas market crowds with a bit more savvy and adeptness which saved a bit of time... This Davin recommendation comes with one of his knowing smiles that I don't know whether to trust or be scared of, but I'll go for the former this time. Cool purple can with that starey squirrel giving me those full hypnotic eyes!

First smell is very sour blackberry that's feels like it's been crushed in someone's hand and held right to the nose...very impactful! The following taste was not as harsh as I'd expected, but a lot more of a smooth blackberry gose which didn't have too heavy a sour hit or or kick at the end. This was definitely a sour that you could keep sipping away, and may be a good introduction to a new beer drinker. Don't be put off by the sharp smell...give it a go!

As always, I hope you enjoyed my personal review, but why not come into Beercraft of Bath and try it for yourself!...🍺🤓 Cheers everyone!🍻 Han

The people trying to preserve the idea of real ale are just trying to preserver an idea of their youth. Just maybe in 40 years time i will be an even grumper old man complaining about how craft beer is the real beer!
