Hammerton Brewery - Traume

Hammerton Brewery - Traume

Saturday tipple here for me. Bit of a rough day, but got some bits and jobs done, and grabbed some clotted cream in town to have with my bargain mince pies!
Fantastic looking can! We have a look into a dark and creepy forest through the trees with only the dim glow of the moon and the red eyes of the creatures being seen... Such a thick chocolate smell came out first if all, almost layering on the tongue with a touch of coffee. The taste test then comes out with cherry as that first touch, then a coffee flavour and a smooth chocolateyness. Not as much chocolate as the smell first gives you, but a nice bit of cherry to finish is certainly very pleasing. A well balanced drink that does a pretty damn fine job of encapsulating a delicious black forest gateau.

As always, I hope you enjoyed my personal review, but why not come into Beercraft of Bath and try it for yourself!...🍺🤓 Han

The punchyness is there with that lactose mouthfeel that coats the tongue really nicely, which gives a smooth delivery of those beautifully balanced ingredients.

First smell is a solid stout one of coffee with a sweet background. The following swig delivers that beautiful sweetness that is certainly reminiscent of smooth syrup over pancakes, before that coffee taste comes in. Have to say that the more I hit it back, the more I liked it, as the balance of coffee and sugary syrup came into play.

First smell just tells you I'm an IPA with full fruity flavours bulking under the snout. The following swig just gives you an electric shock of powerful hops that are a real eye opener, then straight behind is that thick mouthfeel giving you tropical flavour. Each swig after packs a punch, but a more subtle peachy tone starts coming through to end the taste.
