Arbor Ales - Faked Alaska
Legged it/hobbled to the train station only to find out I'd be standing and shivering in Chippenham for another 20 minutes than I expected, but the rest of the day was half decent actually. Had to be herded like cattle on to the return train, but at least I got a precious space... Heard alot of hype about this badboy, so hoping it lives up to the reputation. It's a classic Arbor can with the huge oak leaf on a vivid all matte colour background.
First smell was quite creamy with a light edge, but you could just sense those Citra hops bubbling as well. Following taste was those hops coming to life in a citrusy tone with a thick vanilla drop on th tongue to finish. Not going to lie, the hop hit is just a bit too overbearing for me and I'm not getting enough of the creamy pudding flavour that i was hoping for. Really nice drink as usual from this quality brewery, but maybe my hopes were built up a bit too much... As always, I hope you enjoyed my personal review, but why not come into Beercraft of Bath and try it for yourself!...🍺🤓 Han
