The Tipsy-Train Beer Blog with Nene Valley Brewery's Hop Stash

Nene Valley Brewery - Hop Stash

On my feet all day moving stock, so was damn exhausted, but surprise tipsy-train appearance from my girl made things better.

Can's pretty cool, reminding me a bit of Adventure Time which used to be a guilty pleasure of mine...bright colours and a nice sprinkling of vibrant hoppy images. Depressingly standard poor can opening was followed by a soft floral, piney and citrusy scent going up the nose which was just really enjoyable to be honest.

The first swig was just as nice with a burst of energetic hops delivering a smooth and light set of fruity tastes to me. Not quite creamy, but just soft and full flavours coming along with the delicious Citra, Enigma, Simcoe hops adding that bit of class all the way through. Every taste after that was just brilliant, you can tell that it's an expertly balanced drink with great ingredients used. It's also Gluten Free and Vegan if that floats your boat! One of my faves so far I reckon, go and grab one!

Happy Tuesday and Cheers!

No big memorable flavours that stay on the tongue, but a decent enough drink to knock back.

First smell is just thick melted chocolate flowing out before that bourbon kick makes an appearance. My following excited swig didn't leave me disappointed as those smells were combined perfectly in my mouth before a light coffee edge showed up.

The following swig had a definite rush of those flavours and hops, but not as powerful as I'd expected, in fact quite a smooth delivery. As I went along there was definitely those vic secret and amarillo hops there, but more of constant buzz in the background.
