Nene Valley Brewery - Bitter & Orange

Nene Valley Brewery - Bitter & Orange

Solid day full of lots of little jobs that kept cropping up, but managed to get most of them done. Left work to pouring rain and a chilly wind, so my choice for tonight's drink was pretty crucial.

Bright pink shiny can with Trump on the side, called bitter & Orange and bourbon barrel aged shouted in big text at the top...what more could attract me to it!

An additional description in big text of what the drink may hold was a pretty nice touch. Shit foaming can opening was followed with a really light and airy smell of orange zest and feint hops. The proceeding taste delivered a pretty solid hoppy hit before a bittersweet orange finish at the end. Not quite sure what to think of this really, there were feint hints of herbal and maybe vanilla, but I didn't get that bourbon tone and there just wasn't a great balance to it. Bit of a mish mash that I couldn't put my finger on to be honest, not enough of a quality side to it that would pull me back. (I'm sure The Donald could sell it though...)

Cheers everyone and happy impeachment!🍻 Han
