Leffe - Winterbier
Bit of a disjointed day, but got a lot of odds and ends sorted along with a bit of marketing stuff in my hands. A Davin recommendation tonight was this beer to get me in the holiday spirits a long time before any other sane person is. A nice brown bottle with shiny gold and christmas red labelling, does the job!
So, first opening was smooth giving me a rich malty smell with a hoppy background. The next swig was more of the same with that full malt being delivered in an almost smokey environment with a very feint caramel edge to it. Not quite as deep with different flavours, but definitely a full mouthful of taste that's very enjoyable. A very solid drink for me that would probably be slightly better in front of a roaring wood fire on Christmas Eve, but in a train in front of the missus it wasn't a bad alternative. (To be honest I got a nose full of foam on the first sample, so my girlfriend 'recapped' the bottle and made me open it again on video....fortunately I wasn't surprised again by the excitable beer, although the guy in the background was intrigued...)
As always, I hope you enjoyed my personal review, but why not come into Beercraft of Bath and try it for yourself!...🍺🤓
Happy thursday everyone!🍻 Han

a bit like John Lydon, once original and controversial now just out for the money and has sold out to promote items for supermarkets.
