Days since beercraft lockdown: two
With little access to good quality beers and a hankering for a drink in these trying times... I have taken it upon myself to try all the drinks I once loved years ago and to see how my Palate has been spoiled with the likes of verdant, northern monk and Deya. I will also be calling out some of the awful beers and ciders that are out there, that try to pass themselves off as premium brands and how they are ripping us all off with inferior ingredients, chemicals and flavourings.
lets see how much of a pretentious beer and cider twat I have become.
So here is the first "craft beer" and I use that term lightly as this could be mistaken for a cheap Pina Colada cocktail mix! So after a hard day of toiling away in the garden and doing some D.I.Y I needed a nice cold beer, unfortunately this blog is not about nice beer more a delve into the S**T.
Black sheep is a born and bred North Yorkshire brewery, normally specialising in ales but have been branching out into a few more crafty drinks, just like this Pineapple Milkshake. Unfortunately when traditional breweries start playing around with craft beers things tend to end either very underwhelming, just like Butcombe's very boring "invasion" into craft beer, or over the top in flavour which detracts from what could be a very nice tropical lactose IPA.
The beer is described as a "juice bomb with a huge fruity aroma" unfortunately the aroma that leaps out at you, like Cato attacking Inspector Clouseau, is milk that has been left out for a few days. For me it's just over the top, despite the use of pineapple juice to make this a "juice bomb", the flavour that this brings is overly sweet and a tad dry at the same time. I can see what sort of beer they are trying to make but they need to tone this down and balance out the flavours.

a bit like John Lydon, once original and controversial now just out for the money and has sold out to promote items for supermarkets.
