Lost And Grounded Brewers - Keller Pils

First smell after a kitchen can opening was very pungent floral scents with a feint hoppy background. Definitely got that classic pilsner taste to it with the hoppy feel, then an actual nice light and clean followup that carries through each sip. No big memorable flavours that stay on the tongue, but a decent enough drink to knock back.

First smell is just thick melted chocolate flowing out before that bourbon kick makes an appearance. My following excited swig didn't leave me disappointed as those smells were combined perfectly in my mouth before a light coffee edge showed up.

The following swig had a definite rush of those flavours and hops, but not as powerful as I'd expected, in fact quite a smooth delivery. As I went along there was definitely those vic secret and amarillo hops there, but more of constant buzz in the background.

To be honest, a shit can opening, but my saviour came in the rich malty smells that were produced with the immediate picture of chocolate soaked sponge fingers coming into my thoughts. The first swig doubled down on that with a lovely tiramisu/brownie coating of the mouth, and quite frankly a liquefied malt-chocolate dessert!

First smell after a satisfactory can opening is berries, and plenty of them! It smells like someone has just squeezed some sour berries right in front of your nose, and there's also that dark grape richness as well. My admittedly excitable first taste was more of the same with a full force push of hops, a malty base, lashings of fruits & berries and a sour tingle to the tongue.

So, I popped the cap off and boy was met with something I hadn't smelt in a beer before! It was like entering a small meat smoking-house where pig and malt were the only things on the racks. The following swig just carried on the experience as I could almost chew that smokey taste that was caking my tongue.

The proceeding swig, that I was eager to take, had that light citrusy tone, but was still full of fruity flavours. Then, there was the powerful punch of those Simcoe Cryo, Citra BBC, Mosaic & Amarillo hops!

Fantastic opening, even after the missus shook it over my head, and the first smell was full of malt and pine up the ol'nose. The following swig was more of the same with those strong scents hitting the tastebuds along with a hoppy push and bitter finish.

The flavours are delivered on a really smooth base where the fruits get to pop a bit, then a pretty feint bitterness to finish. It's not a 'crotch grabbingly' amazing drink, but you can tell the quality of ingredients and balance that's been put into this...something I'd go for again as a nice chillout beverage.
