First whiff was a light coffee one with a light sweetness just behind, but you could tell there was something goid on it's way. My following swig was a thick coffee and chocolate taste that you could tell was just packed and full with quality. At the end was a sweet berry finish that just took the edge of the stout being too heavy and balanced...a perfect touch.

Polly's Brew Co - Like In The Movies

First smell is that classic floral and feint tropical one, very light. The following swig had that nice fruity flavour on a very lightly hopped delivery, but I just didn't get that blueberry hit. There was a subtle dab at the back of the mouth, but I could really barely notice it and was expecting a lot more punch. I'm not a huge blueberry fan, however I was interested to see what this can would offer....unfortunately, I'll be waiting for that blueberry beer experience.

Polly's Brew Co - Reverie

December 31, 2019

The can has the classic Polly's drip on top of a luscious flowery background. First smell is a rich coffee and almost chocolatey vibe with a tantalising raspberry essence to finish. The following taste was a lot lighter than I expected, but still had a certain fullness to it...the bonus was a lot stronger raspberry hit that was really well balanced.

Vibrant Forest - Barbarella

There was definitely a nice lot of punch to the initial hops, but the rhubarb flavour took over soon after giving a steady and definitely smooth sip. This is a drink you could keep enjoying as the night goes on without being too intense. A nice drink that is you won't be disappointed in trying out.

Polly's Brew Co - Like A Ghost

Hard to say it hit it on the battenberg head, and the family weren't overly keen on it as a whole, but I thought it had a richness too it that was pretty enjoyable. Definitely came through as a stout with that something different on offer, I d have it again, but not quite a top drawer one.

After two rounds of stuffing my face with food and a successful family victory on the battlegrounds of Trivial Pursuit, I decided to try this one on for size. Quite a nice can with almost some Picasso like artwork using a white background with primary colour rectangles forming a weird face.

Pressure Drop Brewing - Pale Fire

The following swig delivers a definite hoppy hit which carries some fruity and tropical flavours. It's a very clean drink that's obviously balanced well and you'd comfortably kick back a couple without tiring. The Pale Ale is not in my wheelhouse usually, but this is a nice sample of one for those regulars out there.

Tiny Rebel x La Brasserie Du Mont Saleve - Mango Milkshake IPA

December 31, 2019

The taste is where you really get that mango punch straight off the bat amidst a real nice hoppy hit. The lactose/milkshake aspect of the drink comes at the end with a full mouthful of fruity beer feeling like that bit of quality with balanced ingredients. The drink hasn't quite got that ongoing excitement as the sips continue to make it a top notcher, but for the price it's worth a crack.

Brouwerij Kees - Caramel Fudge Stout

First smell is of thick caramel and a coffee tinge that just coats the nose. Once the swig came along it was all about chocolate and fudge, just a velvet taste that was just fantastic. From then on the taste seemed to get better and better with the full imperial mouthfuls being a delight for any choclatier...a stunner of a beer!

Mad Squirrel Brewery - Bucks Fizz?

The Tipsy-Train Beer Blog with Mad Squirrel Brewery's Bucks Fizz?

December 31, 2019

First smell is orangey with a strong Fizz in the background that's just waiting to jump out. The following taste certainly gives you that 'Bucks Fizz' experience with a fairly juicy orange hoppy hit with that oomph of carbonation behind. After that you get the bitter after taste which for me is that slight bit to heavy, although it may be on point for some.

Amundsen Brewery - Dessert In A Can

First smell is thick, creamy with that mocha tang at the end....the anticipation is there! That full mouth feel of volume and creaminess is immediately there on the taste with those sumptuous cookies soaking over your tongue. Every swig after that gave more of that rich lactose experience with the cookie/boozy taste that me and the missus couldn't get enough off. I was lucky enough to get hold of this very rare drink to try through BeerCraft Of Bath and I'd urge you to do your best to get one yourself, just a cracking beer.

Electric Bear - Big, Little & Small

The Tipsy-Train Beer Blog with Electric Bear's Big, Little & Small

December 31, 2019

The can shows a peach, apricot and guava in a police line up..pretty funny actually! The first whiff after cracking open the can is certainly tart with a fruity backing. The following taste certainly has a strong fruit taste which was fresh and enjoyable, but there wasn't that sour/gose punch that I was expecting from this triple fruited beer.
